While there is more we'd like to do with our new place, such as structural changes, we've started with what we can do right now, which is furniture! We found these wonderful sofas, and they really changed the feel and function of our living room and office/guest room. For this last room, we got a comfortable corner sofa, which makes great use of the space. We 're studying up on some other changes that we'd like to do ourselves. For instance, I'm looking into kitchen cabinets, while, for now, we made what were the quickest and easiest remodeling changes we could make to the kitchen-a new kitchen table and chairs. It's made a wonderful change and I'm so looking forward to getting around to the structural changes as well. We've also gotten a beautiful armoire for our bedroom and that has added such a romantic dimension, along with the curtains I just put up, which my husband wasn't completely convinced about, but now that he sees the whole room, he sees how the curtains really work well.

There are many benefits to hiring a home carpet installer versus trying to install new carpet on your own. When selecting a professional to install your home carpets, such as Empire Carpet installers, it's very important to get the best value for the money.
If you choose to work with a major home improvement retailer for your installation, the work will usually be covered by a full warranty. The downside is that installation by a home improvement retailer is usually more expensive than installation by an independent contractor such as Empire Carpet professionals. Finding a quality independent contractor to do the work can require a bit more homework, but can really pay off in terms of cost savings. There are some online sites which provide lists of local carpet installers which must meet certain general requirements to get listed. This helps ensure that site users are dealing with real professionals when selecting a contractor to install their carpets.

Jay-Z has been criticized over the handling of renovation work on his New York 40/40 Club. Rap superstar Jay-Z has come under fire from members of a carpentry union for hiring a private firm for renovation of his New York sports bar.
The city's District council of Carpenters set up giant inflatable rats outside the club, to protest against the ongoing renovation work for substandard wages and the fact that union workers are not hired for the renovation work.
The union is claiming that the company which was hired to make renovations to the building, Conelle Construction Corp, does not meet area labor standards, including providing or fully paying for family healthcare and pension for all of its carpenter craft employees.
